About Me

My photo
Plano, TX
Our first child, Caroline, was born June 5th, 2009. She has completely rocked our world. Patty stays home to take care of Caroline full time. Reagan is a computer programmer at PFS Web. We met Jan 9th 2004. Patty's best-friend from high school, Dixie, slyly matched us up. In July of 2004 we moved to Allen, TX for work. We married Oct 29th, 2005 and moved into our current house in Plano the following April. We also have two furry children named Annabell and Oliver. We love to travel. Throughout our marriage we have taken some incredible trips. We haven't gone anywhere with Caroline (other than Tulsa) yet but we're planning a family trip this summer.

This is the one and only picture I took today (cropped for obvious reasons). I got Caroline ready for her bath this afternoon. After getting her undressed she ran off to admire the Christmas tree. She was so cute standing in front of the tree in her birthday suit. I went to grab the camera and when I got back she was peeing on the floor! This is her "telling" me what she did.

Tonight a couple friends came over for a "wrapping" party. Surprisingly we wrapped quite a few presents. Most of the time we spent chit-chatting. Below is Brenda showing off a couple presents.

Today we had a special visit from Butch and Janet Berner. I stayed with the Berners at their home in Zambia my first summer in college. This was a very dark and hard time for me. It was the year after Mom pasted away. Dad's health was deteriorating and Grandma Harris was in her final days. I felt alone, lost and orphaned. The Berners illustrated grace to me. They taught me that even in our darkest times there is grace. The dark times are when we can get into our heart, find our inner strength and grow. I only felt love and compassion from them. They let me and the team I was with into their homes and into their hearts. They became our mentors. I love them like family and when they come to the States on furlow they stop in for a quick visit. I was so happy they were able to spend a little time with Caroline.

If you'd like to hear more about what the Berners do click the link below.

This morning I had a little package dropped off at my door. Inside was the little house ornament my friend Jessica made. She knew I didn't love the 2010 picture frame ornament we got.

Reagan

A quick note to say Reagan does not need surgery!! Yay! I was trying to stay calm this week but surgery of any kind freaks me out. We are happy to hear that the meds should do the trick.

December 3rd

Nana stopped by for a visit before she had to go to work.
A few of my mom group friends rented our neighborhood community center and go together for a craft night.

Dec 2nd

December 2nd: Today Reagan goes in for a CT scan. He woke up Tuesday morning with his sinus cavity so swollen I could see it from across the room. The doctor took an x-ray which was inconclusive. The CT scan will show if it's mucus or something else blocking his sinuses. We're hoping it's mucus otherwise he'll have to have surgery to clear out whatever is causing the blockage. Keep him in your thoughts and prayers today. He goes back to the doctor tomorrow to find out the results of the scan.

December Photo Project

Saw this a a couple friends blog and thought it was a cute idea. Click on the Photo Project badge above to learn the details. Ever day until Christmas I'll post a photo illustrating the activities we're doing to celebrate this festive time of year. We can't be with all our loved ones this time of year but this will give you an idea what we're up to. I'd love to hear what you all are up to also. If you have a blog join in. If not keep in touch via email, text, phone calls etc. Love you all and happy holidays!!

This "photo" was actually a shot from a video taken on my phone. This is Caroline opening her first gift from her Secret Santa. Our mom's group drew names for the kids to have secret santas. We'll find out in a couple weeks at a play-date who our ss is.

Thanksgiving 2010

Caroline and I spent 10 days in Tulsa over Thanksgiving. We stayed with Josh and Andrea for the first several days while Tim and Sandy spoke at a church in Sweden. Then we spent the next few days taking care of John and Tamara's dogs while they (and their 4 kids) went to Hawaii. Reagan met us in Tulsa Tuesday night. We had a great time hanging out with family and friends. Surprising we didn't take many pictures while there. Below are some. They got out of order and I'm to tired to reorganize them!

Daddy came to town!! We missed him so much. Thank God for Facetime on the iPhone. We were able to see and talk to him almost every night.
Reagan and I took pictures of Rick and Sarah's family for their Christmas cards. We took these in downtown Tulsa.

I love this picture of Rick and Sarah. Gorgeous people from the inside out!

Our last night in town we took C to see Rhema Lights with Katie. If your ever in Tulsa between Thanksgiving and Christmas you have to stop by Rhema Bible College to see their campus at night. The entire campus is covered in Christmas lights (over 2 million lights!). It's beautiful!
