This evening we took family pictures in a field of Bluebonnets. Bluebonnets are the Texas state flower, and it's a tradition here to take pictures in them. Most of the pictures had telephone lines and power lines in the background. I edited them out of most of the pictures.

Ft. Worth Zoo

Last Friday we took a day trip to Ft Worth. We had lunch with Uncle John (Patty's Dad's brother) and Aunt Marilyn. Caroline was fussy during lunch so we didn't think she would last long at the zoo. We were wrong. She loved the zoo; looking at all the people and animals. The Ft Worth Zoo is very cool. If you haven't been I highly recommend it.

Brought the tripod and tried taking a family picture. Didn't turn out that great.

Caroline's favorite thing at the zoo was the Komodo Dragon. She watched and talked to that guy for a long time.

We thought she would like to sit on the Komodo statue but she got freaked!

I feel bittersweet about this but Caroline has decided she doesn't want to nurse anymore (other than 1st feeding in the morning). Our little baby is getting so big!

Treasures in the attic

I'm not sure Reagan considers this a treasure or not. Last night we were putting some of Caroline's baby things in our garage attic for storage. Our house has 2 attics and this is one we haven't stored anything in yet. Reagan found some things in the attic that past owners had left behind. One of the items was a vintage mid-century highchair. I love retro things and thought this was awesome. Today I cleaned it up and let Caroline eat lunch in it. She thought it was pretty awesome too.

Easter Fun

Our neighborhood hosted an Easter Egg hunt last weekend. It was great to watch Caroline play with a plastic filled egg for the first time. She was excited and full of wonder when she opened her first egg and found Goldfish snacks inside. One of the neighbors dress in an Easter Bunny outfit and passed out treats to the kids. Caroline thought he was really cool. I think she thought he was a talking stuffed animal. Thursday we had a couple baby friends over to play and celebrate the holiday. Sunday we went to church than Nana and Papa's house for lunch. Of course there are pictures below.
