About Me

Plano, TX
Our first child, Caroline, was born June 5th, 2009. She has completely rocked our world. Patty stays home to take care of Caroline full time. Reagan is a computer programmer at PFS Web. We met Jan 9th 2004. Patty's best-friend from high school, Dixie, slyly matched us up. In July of 2004 we moved to Allen, TX for work. We married Oct 29th, 2005 and moved into our current house in Plano the following April. We also have two furry children named Annabell and Oliver. We love to travel. Throughout our marriage we have taken some incredible trips. We haven't gone anywhere with Caroline (other than Tulsa) yet but we're planning a family trip this summer.

Water Babies

Caroline had her first swim class this past Saturday. Her baby friend Gavin and his mom Misty are in the class too. When she first got into the water she had no reaction. It took her about 15 minutes to warm up to the water but once she did she loved it. She started splashing with her hands and kicking her legs. She really liked her teacher too....at least she like her teachers jewelry. Caroline is like her Momma and loves all things sparkly! During this first class she learned to hold onto the side of the pool with her head above the water. I was really surprised she was able to hold on by herself!

Learning to Walk

Our baby girl is growing up way to fast! Today Caroline pulled up on her walker and started taking little steps. I was lucky enough to get video to show Reagan after he got home. I think she'll be walking on her own here in a couple months. I'm a little scared!

Our Money Pit

Okay, so our house isn't exactly a money pit. It just feels like one sometimes. In the less than four years we've lived in our house we've put in a sprinkler system and sod, put in an A/C compressor and air handler, installed many foundation piers on both sides of the house, taken down a wall, and fixed a major plumbing issue. I'm sure there is more that I'm forgetting. Today we are FINALLY fixing leaks that were caused when we got our foundation leveled this summer. We love our house....we do, mainly because it's ours. We're just sick of things breaking. The bright side of getting the leaks fixed is they have to tear up our tile in the office bath. This has inspired us to replace the shower tile in our master-bath. We are taking out the small old-school bath with 4" white tiles and replacing it with a walk-in shower. Last weekend we picked out the materials. The shower walls will be a golden travertine 12" tile with a border of 2" glass and slate tiles and the floor is a similar colored 2" tumbled stone tile. We are very excited! This the our first "fun" home project (besides painting of course). After the bathroom stuff our next big project will be replacing a few of the original windows. Ahhhh....love home ownership!

Never Wake a Sleeping Baby

Caroline has been a night owl like her Daddy since birth. We have fought with her to get her to sleep by 9 or 9:30 pm. Last week I ordered the book "Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child." It was recommended by many (thank you!!). In one week we have gone from a late night baby who fights sleep to a 6:30 pm bedtime with no crying!! We are still working on taking longer naps and sleeping through the night, but a huge burden has been taken off all our shoulders. Reagan and I use to dread the evening. Now it is so relaxing. The first night she went to sleep early with no fuss we looked at one another and said, "what do we do now".
