Plano, TX
Our first child, Caroline, was born June 5th, 2009. She has completely rocked our world. Patty stays home to take care of Caroline full time. Reagan is a computer programmer at PFS Web. We met Jan 9th 2004. Patty's best-friend from high school, Dixie, slyly matched us up. In July of 2004 we moved to Allen, TX for work. We married Oct 29th, 2005 and moved into our current house in Plano the following April. We also have two furry children named Annabell and Oliver. We love to travel. Throughout our marriage we have taken some incredible trips. We haven't gone anywhere with Caroline (other than Tulsa) yet but we're planning a family trip this summer.

First Day of School

Today was C's first day at Mother's Day Out. Reagan came with us today to drop her off. While we were in the classroom with her she was happy, smiling and playing with the toys. There was another little girl whose first day was today also. Her parents left a few moments before we did and she started bawling which freaked Caroline out. They both were screaming and crying (we could hear them down the hall). The class has a video camera so we watched in the school office. The other little girl got so upset she threw up and Caroline was trying to open the class door to make her great escape. The assistant came in the room as back-up. She distracted C while the teacher cleaned the little girl. I of course started crying in the office! Caroline calmed down and started playing again so I left. I cried again when I got in my car! I'm such a cry baby! I forced myself to give her an entire hour before calling to check how she was. She was fine and having fun.

She was so happy to see me when I picked her up. She came running towards me with open arms and a giant smile! The teacher said she did great after she calmed down. She was a stand-offish towards the teacher until she gave her snack (of course - a yummy snack is the key to C's heart!). I didn't realize until I picked her up that today was picture day at school. They brought in a photographer that brought dress-up clothes to the kids to use as props. The teacher said C loved dressing-up and posing for the picture (again, of course!). She said C was a total ham! As we walked to the car I asked C is she liked school and she shook her head yes. Overall I think she had a great day and I'll do better next week......I hope!

Outside before school started

Checking out the classroom
Fun new toys, stuffed animals to hug and a nice teacher!

This was shortly before the real tears started fallin'
After school - we're reunited and so happy!!

Valentine's Day

Yesterday afternoon we went to our playgroup's Valentine's party. It was a lot of fun and a little bit crazy (25 toddlers, one newborn and a bunch of moms)! All the kids brought Valentine's to exchange with one another and the mom's brought desserts to bring home and share with our hubbies. After the party we met Reagan at his office and he took us to dinner. Then we went home for our own little Valentine's Day celebration.

Last week she painted the Valentine's she gave to her friends
Sunday night I made caramels for the party. I thought this would take about 2 hours. Ugh, 5 hours later at 3am I finished!
Prepping the pans to pour the caramel into
Caramel poured and pieces in the background have been cut and wrapped with parchment paper
Dressed and ready for the party!
Last week our playgroup met to make Valentine's boxes for the kids.
Our hostesses, Rachel and Avery. Did I mention Rachel is due with her second baby next month?
Brenda and Elena
Talking on the phone
Carey and Parker
Playing with Ellerie
This is too cute! Avery's tutu-butt!
Some of the mom's talking
Eating grapes with Parker. She had stolen a few grapes from Parker so I got her a cup!
Sitting with her Valentine, William. These two love each other.
Watching a show with Avery while us moms clean-up.
After dinner we went home and Caroline looked through her Valentine's cards.
"Oh, wow!" - That is one of C's sayings.
Yummy! She partied so hard she lost her shoe!
Reagan opening his new ice-tea maker (that is what he asked for!)
My cute Valentine!
Because we didn't have enough sweets I made Reagan his favorite dessert: a cherry pie.
"I want a bite"

Snow Days - SEVERAL snow days

The majority of us scattered through the United States have been snowed in (besides you all in LA, Trinidad and Zambia - hope you all enjoyed your sunny beautiful weather (said with a slight sarcastic tone)). Actually we had a lot of fun hanging around the house together. Reagan worked from home all week. He took little breaks throughout the day to join us in our shenanigans. Surprising we didn't take a ton of pictures this week but here are a couple. Hope all of you have stayed warm and safe this week!

Chocolate chip cookies!
And chocolate kisses
Playing with flashlights and bubbles in our "fort" aka dinning table with blankets thrown over it.
Climbing into her fort. We added some Christmas lights to make it more homey.
Shutting the "door" on Annabell
She took off to play in the backyard
Rollin' down to the creek at the end of our street

This is how you make a snow angel
"This is fun!"
A mini-me snow angel made by a real live angel!
Teaching her how to make snowballs to throw at Daddy.
Sidenote: This is right before C decided she didn't want to keep her gloves on but still wanted to play in the snowball fight. This ended in freezing cold fingers, lots of tears, crying, looking confused down at her hands and me holding a screaming child all the way up the block and several minutes after getting home.
Nothing a little hot tea, cherry turnovers and Ice Age the movie couldn't fix.
This was the sunset view out our laundry room window. I thought the sun through the trees were pretty.
