This past weekend Caroline and I hopped in the car and headed north to Tulsa. We had a great time and Caroline LOVED playing with her big cousins. We did quite a bit in just the few days we were there. Below are some pictures to document our adventures.
Caroline taking a bath with her cousin David. She thought David was pretty awesome!
Saturday night the family (those in town) met for dinner. After dinner Caroline and David played in the fountain.
Caroline had so much fun! She loved when the wind blew the water in her face.

Kelly, Caroline, Val, David and Katie
The ladies that came to dinner minus Lucy and Caitlin who were still in the resturant
The guys minus David who was running around playing!
Most of the Tulsa clan. Daniel, Mike, Tim, Matt and Robert were out of town.
Sunday we met my BFF from HS Dixie and her daughters for lunch at the Philbrook Museum (one of my favorite places in Tulsa)
The gardens at the Philbrook. It's so beautiful.
Bryn and Caroline playing in the garden.
Bryn with her sister.
Bryn is such a cutie!
Playing under the table after brunch. We had to choose between screaming babies or letting them play on the floor while we got everything together to leave.

After brunch Sarah and I took 9 kids to Spring Creek. It's about an hour from Tulsa. We use to camp there when we were kids. We were there from about an hour when a storm came through and we had to leave.
Little Chris jumping off the rope.
Andrea and Val in the water. Katie and her friend are in the background.

Sarah and C
You know you're in Oklahoma when you come up to someone's campsite and the baby bottles are surrounded by beer cans! BTW, this was not ours.
Little Chris, C and David hanging out at Sarah's
Playing with her cousins (this picture makes Reagan nervous)
Hanging with the big girls!
The biggest thing that happened is Caroline took her first steps! I missed her very 1st steps but she showed me her new skill when I got back. She has not taken any more steps since we're been home. I guess she needs her cousins to walk!
The girls at Woodward Park (another favorite place in Tulsa)
Outside the botanical garden near Woodward.
Val with the hairy cactus!
C grabbing a orchid
Monday night before leaving I met my good friend Damion out to hear some live music. Surprisingly Tulsa has an incredible local music scene. You can find someone playing good music any night of the week.
What a fun trip!!! I can't believe how many activities you packed in (first steps too!) :) Tulsa looks gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun trip!! I can't believe Caroline took her first steps!! She'll be cruising before you know it- so exciting. Looks like you have a fun family!
ReplyDeleteFun times! BTW, the picture of Caroline in the water playing with the pebbles...she looks like she is 2 or 3 years old. She is getting so tall ;)
